My first words here

5th February 2008 - Rosh Hodesh Adar Alef
I am writing these first few words to see how this forum for public writing works. If it works o.k. I will write more. I am working on my first novel - almost finished - and might try sharing some of it here to see how that feels.
It is late and I am quite tired, and very sad since I just read my grieving friend Jeff Green's blog. I remember Asher well from the children's minyan at Yedidya in the early days of the congregation - remember him as a bright kid who sometimes came and acted up and sometimes could be fun to have in the group, both he and his brother Boaz had a theatrical flare which livened up the story telling there. I imagine that Alan Greenberg and Becky Cohen with whom I would do the kid's activities back then remember that too.

I'm proud to be the first to respond, because having been your talmid, it is a special honour to be thus introduced to your heritage and background. Good thrill to read how Yanosh and Eva came away from the slaughter, and I can't wait to hear on how all this will unfold to become your own family saga. Way to go, Reb Yehiel!
